Tottenham endured a strange 2013-14. While statistically it was one of their better Premier League campaigns, the mid-season managerial change and associated fall-out left many fans disillusioned.

Spurs’ start to the new season has changed all that, though, with the Lilywhites top of the nascent league table, while record signing Erik Lamela is finally leading the charge, a year after he was signed.

After providing an assist for only one goal in his first 10 appearances for Spurs, the Argentine assisted two goals in seven minutes as QPR were run ragged at White Hart Lane.

Mourinho Rules Out, Torres Exit

The Chelsea boss insists he needs three strikers in his squad for the upcoming season and will not be allowing the Spaniard to leave, despite speculation linking him with a move

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho says he has no intention of letting Fernando Torres leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

Lord Attenborough: Chelsea Pay Tribute to Life President

Chelsea have paid tribute to Richard Attenborough, who died on Sunday at the age of 90.
The Oscar-winning film director and Blues fan was the club's life president and served on the board at Stamford Bridge from 1969 to 1982.

The team will wear black armbands as a tribute to Lord Attenborough in their next game, at Everton on Saturday.

"Chelsea Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our life president," said a club statement.

Diego Costa Scored Twice in 10 Minutes

Diego Costa scored twice in the first 10 minutes on his home debut as Chelsea completed their pre-season with a 2-0 win over Spanish side Real Sociedad.

Spain striker Costa, who joined for £32m from Atletico Madrid this summer, slid home the first from Ramires' pass inside the opening minute.

His second was a tap-in after Germany World Cup-winner Andre Schurrle's curling shot bounced off the far post.
